Deepika Padukone does not consider herself a supertar

Deepika Padukone is one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood Film Industry and these days she is getting appreciation for her outstanding performance in ‘Chandni Chowk To China’. She had done adventurous stunts in ‘Chandni Chowk To China’.

She started her career with Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’ and in second film she worked under Yash Raj Films. She has a huge list of well-wishers but she admits that I am not a famous personality.

Deepika Padukone said, "I don't consider myself a celebrity. Fortune smiled on me and I got the opportunity to work with Shahrukh Khan. He is truly a King Khan. My parents have kept me grounded and rooted and now I’ll bring credit to my parents.”

She further added, "I've seen my father (badminton champion Prakash Padukone) handle success truly well and I am following his steps. For me success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. He has always encouraged me and for me work is more important than money. I always give 100% dedication to my work. I had to do a strict training in ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ and I hope people will like the film.”

Parents allowed me to buy latest Yamaha bike: Shahid Kapoor

The buzz is that Shahid Kapoor’s parents gave him permission to get a new Yamaha bike.

According to Shahid Kapoor’s friend, “Shahid is very fond of bikes. When he was shooting for Ishq Vishk Pyar Vyar, we used to go on long bike rides along the Western Express highway while his parents were against it. Shahid Kapoor has always been an ardent son and he loves his parents very much.”


He further added, “At last his parents permitted him to buy a new bike only on the condition that he will drive bike safely. Shahid purchased a new bike Yamaha MT-01. The cost of bike is Rs. 15 lakhs and the color is black. Shahid has purchased a sports bike with torque speed and 1670cc machine.”

Shahid Kapoor stated, "I am very happy that I have bought a new bike and now I can easily go to places where I do shooting. I am very fond of bikes and my bike is now my own way of avoiding traffic.”

Aamir Khan enjoying every moment of life with 'Idiots' in Indian Institute of Mannagement-Banglore

Aamir Khan’s forthcoming film is ‘Three Idiots’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani. These days Aamir Khan is busy in the shooting of the film in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) campus in Banglore.

Aamir Khan said, “I am playing badminton, chess and tennis with students. I am very happy to work with Raj Kumar Hirani and cast and crew members of ‘Three Idiots’. I am living in campus and I also save my time on travel. After a long time I am getting good sleep.”

He further added, “IIM Bangalore has a big campus and there is a bunch of students in this campus. All students seem happy here and are very co operative. I am going through a book titled ‘India After Gandhi’ by Ramchandra Guha. It is a book on Indian History after 1947.”

Talking about ‘Ghajini’ Aamir Khan said, “I am very grateful to people that they have appreciated the film and the movie has done well. I was wondered with the big response that ‘Ghajini’ got and the movie is still making records.”

Kareena Kapoor only the actress in the list of Top 10 Youth Icons

Kareena Kapoor is one of the most gorgeous actresses in Bollywood Film Industry and famous for her lean figure. In the year 2008 she gave an electrifying performance in ‘Jab We Met’ and got appreciation from public.

A source reveals, “Kareena Kapoor may get maximum awards this year and she is already in news for her Billu Barber’s song ‘Mar Jani’ with Shahrukh Khan. This song may also be the biggest hit in 2009 and she agreed to do this song just a day before it was to be shooted.”

John Abraham and Katrina Kaif not allowed in a nightclub

The news is that both Johan Abraham and Katrina Kaif were not permitted in a nightclub in New York when they were striving to join a party for a crew member on their movie New York.

According to a source, “when they were not allowed to go into a night club, both of them had to say they were famous people from India. They said that they were film stars from India.”

Katrina Kaif has been recently nominated for a Best Indian Award along with Manmohan Singh and Aamir Khan and she has been stimulating her sister Isabelle Kaif to get admission in Lee Strasberg Theatre School in New York. It is learnt that Isabelle may join Bollywood Film Industry in a year or two.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bahchan extremely busy in 2009

These days Aishwarya Rai is busy in the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Ravan’ in which she is teaming up with her husband Abhishek Bachchan. After completing this film she will start the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next film in which Hrithik Roshan will also play a pivotal role in the movie.

She has Excel Entertainment's untitled thriller film which will be directed by Abhinay Deo, who is presently busy in shooting of his directorial debut "Delhi Belly". In this film she will also work with her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

According to Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment said, "It will be a thriller film and the entire shooting of the movie will be in Thailand, Greece, London and Istanbul. Abhinay Deo and I want a particular look for the film. We want something different in the film's visual quality that people have never seen before."

Aishwarya Rai is also doing Vipul Shah’s next film with none other than Akshay Kumar who will play the lead role in the film. Both Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah will co-produce the movie.

Shilpa Shetty without hair in ‘Desire’?

The buzz is that Shilpa Shetty will be seen without tresses in upcoming film ‘Desire’. It is believed that Shilpa Shetty is required to look bald for a few sequences.


Shilpa Shetty said, “I can not disclose anything about the film. I have never done this role in my previous films. It will be a challenging role for me as it requires being an Odissi expert. Although I Know Bharatnatyam but for this movie I am learning Odissi.”

The movie ‘Desire’ is first Indo-Chinese film and will be produced by C-9 Motion Pictures in association with Indish Creations. Chinese star Xia Yu and Shilpa Shetty are playing pivotal role in the film.

The story of ‘Desire’ is about an Indian woman Goutami (Shilpa Shetty), who is an Odissi dancer and a Chinese man Jai Leang (Xia Yu), a talented artist. If reports are to be believed, the shooting of the movie has started in Kerala. The film is directed by R. Sarath and according to him, “The movie ‘Desire’ is a passionate film dealing with art, dance, music and emotions.”

No one can beat Hrithik Roshan in Bollywood Film Industry: Isha Sharvani

Isha Sharvani is the famous dancer of dancing world and she has teamed up with Hrithik Roshan in Parle’s Hide and Seek biscuit ad. Now again she is working with Hrithik Roshan in upcoming film ‘Luck By Chance’. She considers Hrithik as the best dancer in Bollywood.

Isha revealed, "It was a great experience for me to work with Hrithik Roshan again and he is a tremendous performer. At the time of the 'Hide and Seek' ad, our practice session lasted for three days and one should see him practice. No one can do his steps. He has a lot of energy and enthusiasm at the time of work.”

Talking about her role in ‘Luck By Chance’, Isha said, “I play the daughter of a diva played by Dimple Kapadia. Working in this is a chance for me as I did not imagine that Zoya would finalize me for the movie and I am very fortunate that I got the opportunity to work with Zoya in her first film.”

Speaking about some moments while shooting for the movie, she said, "When I was doing a ring sequence in the film, I was suspended from a hook in the air and the costume I was putting on had a lot of diamonds on it but I am glad the sequence completed very well.”

Luck by Chance

After ‘Rock On’ Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film is ‘Luck By Chance’ and he is playing a pivotal role in the film opposite Konkona Sen Sharma. The film is directed by his sister Zoya Akhtar.

The story of the film revolves around Sona (Konkona Sen Sharma) comes in Bombay and she wants to become a film star at any cost and strives very hard. She stays in a rented flat and contributes time for her friends who also want to fulfill their dreams.

Vikram (Farhan Akhtar) has come to Mumbai leaving his parents' Delhi home. Abhimanyu (Arjun Mathur) stands by Farhan who does a job for a television station. Sona starts to like Vikram’s company and enjoy his affections. A romantic relationship is developed between them.

On the other hand Rolly (Rishi kapoor) is a talented producer who likes to team up with the biggest stars only.

Raaz - The Mystery Continues

People are desperately waiting for upcoming film ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’. The film is directed by Mohit Suri who has already directed the films ‘Wo Lamhe’ and ‘Awarapan’. The story of the film is a thriller one and it tells about the evil side of haman nature.

After ‘Rang De Basanti’ the director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to come with his film ‘Delhi 6’ in which Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor are playing the lead roles in the film. The title name of the movie is inspired from the pin code of an area ‘Old Delhi’ in Delhi.


The story sees Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) who brings his ailing grandmother back to India. She wants to die in her own country and so prepares for the inevitable. An America-born Roshan does not know about food, culture, sounds, religion and beliefs that make up Indian society.


When Roshan comes to India, he engages with his grandmother's neighbourhood and becomes the part of the community. But Roshan does not know that these people have decided to take advantage of Roshan's candid nature.


The story is shown against the backdrop of the ancient city of Delhi which is completely different from New Delhi. The city is almost a character in itself, representing the chaos of India, the people, their religions and their beliefs. The movie may be one of the biggest movies of 2009.

The music of the film has been composed by none other than A.R. Rahman and lyrics have been penned by Prasoon Joshi. Sonu Nigam, Mohit Chauhan and Sukhwinder Singh have sung the songs.

Deepika Padukone with bullet proof umbrella in ‘Chandni Chowk To China’

In ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ Deepika Padukone is playing two different roles-one with an Indian look and the other is Chinese look. In one character she is a sales girl for a telemarketing channel. Deepika Padukone has used different gadgets and gizmos in CC2C.


Deepika Padukone has also used a pink Umbrella in the film to save herself from bullets. It is learnt that there is a scene in CC2C when Deepika Padukone and Akshay Kumar jump from the terrace of a building and she unfolds the umbrella and both begin to slide in the air.

Deepika Padukone has also used a translator that translates Chinese into Hindi. Deepika Padukone has strived very hard for this film and done a very strict training. She did the practice of her adventurous stunts using wires and cables for many weeks before doing the shooting of the movie.

Mallika Bhat has made her look Chinese in the film. As everyone knows Deepika is a South Indian girl with big eyes but in this film she has different look. Mallika used layers of make-up to make Deepika look three shades fairer than her original complexion.


Akshay Kumar is playing a pivotal role in ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ and the movie is directed by none other than Nikhil Advani and produced by Warner Bros. and Rohan Sippy.

Shahrukh Khan talks freely with Farhan Akhtar on Oye! It’s Friday

The buzz is that Farhan Akhtar will have Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan as the guest on the show Oye! It’s Friday and the interaction with SRK will spread over two episodes on January 16th and 23rd.


Amrita Arora will give an electrifying performance with violinist Ambi Subramanian and Kolkata rock band Cactus.

Shahrukh Khan will tell about his childhood, his wife Gauri and his work. Shahrukh Khan will make these episodes very exciting especially for his well-wishers. Farhan Akhtar is a good friend of Shahrukh Khan and they have already worked together.

According to a secret source, “I was told that Shah Rukh Khan would be there just for three hours to shoot for a single episode. Farhan and Shahrukh Khan were in their own zone altogether. At one point in time, it seemed that they were unaware about the fact that there were people around them and the camera was on.'

She further added, “Farhan and SRK decided to extend the show and it didn't require any preparation. In the end, Shahrukh Khan who had come only for 3 hours stayed on to spend as many as 5 hours for the show. It has turned out to be the best episode of 'Oye, It's Friday'.
